Gamma's Homemade Chicken Pot Pie

Delicious homemade chicken pot pie!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In one pot, put chicken in, cover with water, add salt, 2-3 tbsp lemon pepper. Boil for about 1 hr or until done, creating a broth.
  2. *In another pot, boil raw veggies until done (soft) creating a broth. Set aside.
  3. In a bowl, dump both bags of veggies, take chicken and veggies out of water. (keep water) Dice them up.
  4. Add everything to bowl with frozen veggies.
  5. Take pot of broth, put it on med-low, 2 tbsp butter. As it's on low boil, sprinkle in flour as you whisk. Add slowly. Keep doing it about 5-7 mins until thick. Using about 3/4 cup flour.
  6. Put into bowl with veggies and chicken.
  7. Add 1/2 cup milk
  8. Add whatever seasonings you like.
  9. Take casserole dish and lightly cover with oil.
  10. Lay pie crust in casserole , form it around
  11. Pour bowl of veggies and chicken , mix well
  12. Put other pie crust on top
  13. Fold in pie crust around bowl
  14. Poke holes all around with a fork
  15. Cook in pre-heated 350 F oven 45-60 mins
  16. * Raw veggies are optional.
  17. Keep an eye to not burn pie crust.
