A delicious and unique substitute for dairy milk. Turn a milk product into a vegan product by using this instead. Goes great in cereal as an added bonus. Don't forget to be creative by adding some fruit to the party as this drink allows for a variety of concoctions that one can imagine.
NOTE: Recipe makes around 28oz of delicious, silky smooth oatmilk
Quadruple the recipe for nearly a gallon of this healthy and nutritious drink.
Ingredients
Directions
- Put water, salt and dates in blender and blend for about 30 seconds
- (**this is to infuse the water with the date flavor**)
- Add the rest of the ingredients and blend on medium speed for 30 seconds
- (**longer could make slimey milk and we dont like slime**)
- Strain in fine wire strainer
- (**if it is too grainy, you can further strain with cheese cloth though it may make it taste watered down experiment to suit your taste**)
- Store oatmilk up to five days
- (**could possibly go a day or two longer**)
