Buttery yummy fiber rich and delicious veggie appetizer

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Using a steam pot, fill the bottom with water without exceeding the height of the steamer basket.
  2. Heavily season the water with desired herbs and seasonings.
  3. Add 1 tbsp of butter to water
  4. Trim the leaves of the artichoke til flat
  5. Cut the top of the artichoke off, about 2-3 rows of petals
  6. Trim the bottom about half stalk taken off the stem
  7. Rinse the artichoke, gently pulling open the leaves to rinse this gorgeous vegetable
  8. Put in steamer on high until boiling then cover and place on simmer for about 45 minutes
  9. When the leaves are easily removed, your artichoke is ready to consume
  10. Allow about 5 minutes to let the artichoke rest
  11. Dipping Sauce:
  12. Melt butter in bowl then add garlic to butter
  13. Let rest for 10 minutes
