Directions
- Using a steam pot, fill the bottom with water without exceeding the height of the steamer basket.
- Heavily season the water with desired herbs and seasonings.
- Add 1 tbsp of butter to water
- Trim the leaves of the artichoke til flat
- Cut the top of the artichoke off, about 2-3 rows of petals
- Trim the bottom about half stalk taken off the stem
- Rinse the artichoke, gently pulling open the leaves to rinse this gorgeous vegetable
- Put in steamer on high until boiling then cover and place on simmer for about 45 minutes
- When the leaves are easily removed, your artichoke is ready to consume
- Allow about 5 minutes to let the artichoke rest

- Melt butter in bowl then add garlic to butter
- Let rest for 10 minutes
